Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Urogynecology

The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery help women through individualized evaluation and treatment for conditions that affect female pelvic organs. Disorders of the pelvic floor, such as pelvic organ prolapse, difficulty with urination or defecation, incontinence of urine or stool, and complications related to prior surgical procedures involving implanted mesh. The physicians and staff work together with the patient to develop a customized treatment plan tailored to individual goals. This treatment plan employs a wide variety of non-surgical and surgical techniques, including specialized pelvic floor physiotherapy, minimally-invasive vaginal and laparoscopic surgery, and sacral neuromodulation to address these complex pelvic floor conditions.
