Exercise in Obese Pregnancy              (CADE)  REACT started: 11/2018 The purpose of this research study is to examine the effects of aerobic and resistance exercise on sugar metabolism and blood vessel function in pregnany women who are overweight and obese. This information may be important in reducing gestational diabetes and preeclampsia during pregnancy in overweight and obese women.

MOD – 1000 cohort (Nelson) started 1/2017 The purpose of this research study is to determine if preterm birth is associated with disruptions in normal sleep and wake times during pregnancy. To also explore genetic reasons for sleep pattern disruptions.
MOD- eLAB (peds) started 4/2018 The purpose of this research study is to determine if the early life biological, environmental and psychosocial factors your baby experiences influence their social-emotional and brain development into early childhood.
Theme 2 EMMI pilot: term labor study (Wang) started 2/2017 The purpose of this research study is to learn more about contraction patterns in the uterus during term labor.  Use of MRI and ECGI (EMMI-electromyometrial imaging) on abdomen to record contraction patterns.
Theme 2 EMMI pilot: preterm labor study (Wang) started 8/2018 The purpose of this research study is to learn more about contraction patterns in the uterus during pre-term labor.  Use of MRI and ECGI (EMMI-electromyometrial imaging) on abdomen to record contraction patterns.
Theme 2 Non-pregnant cervical MRE  (Wang) NOT STARTED The purpose of this research study is to evaluate cervical tissue through Magnetic Resonance Enterography (MRE).  The MRE uses magnetic waves to look at soft tissues, using MRI.
Theme 2 Placenta MRI PII (Wang)  started 6/2018 The purpose of this research study is to develop a safe, noninvasive technology capable of assessing placental health in real time in early pregnancy.  The aim is to develop Placental Immune Imaging (PII), a system based on nonconventional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique called diffusion basis spectrum imaging (DBSI).
