 sity\, Equity and Inclusion.</p><p>National Disability Employment Awareness
  Month was created to recognize the important contributions that people liv
 ing with disabilities make to the workplace and the overall economy.  This 
 year’s theme is “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion”. As Washington U
 niversity School of Medicine continues to our journey toward inclusive exce
 llence we must better understand\, support and engage people living with di
 sabilities in our community.</p><p>This event will start with the President
  of <a href="https://www.paraquad.org/">Paraquad</a>\, Aimee Wehmeier\, pre
 senting information about the number of people with disabilities in the wor
 kforce\, why representation is important and what organizations can do to i
 ncrease representation. She will also discuss the importance of an inclusiv
 e culture. Aimee will then moderate a discussion with a panel of individual
 s living with both visible and invisible disabilities in the workforce.  Pa
 nelists will share some of their experiences and discuss existing challenge
 s.  Panelists will discuss what each of us can do to address those challeng
 es and  intentionally foster a sense of belonging and inclusion for folks w
 ith disabilities at Washington University School of Medicine.</p><p><img cl
