 Pacific Islander) Heritage month\, the Office of Diversity\, Equity and Inc
 lusion is hosting this session that features\, WUSM community member Robin 
 Hattori.  Robin will share personal details of her mother and father’s inte
 rnment during World War II.  Her talk seeks to provoke discussion on concep
 ts of racism\, patriotism\, civil rights vs. security\, and righting past w
 rongs.</p><p>Robin is a research lab manager at the Program of Occupational
  Therapy.  She has worked at Washington University since 2002 in various ro
 les in including admissions\, community engagement\, and project management
 . Robin is committed to DE&I at the University\, having been involved in th
 e Campus Diversity Collaborative\, the Commission on Diversity and Inclusio
 n\, and orientation for BIPOC students\, among other initiatives. Robin has
  a background in Asian Studies and Non-Profit Management. She is originally
  from St. Louis and resides in University City with her husband and cat.</p
