Why did you choose WashU for your residency?
I was drawn to this program for the incredible training, particularly surgically, as well as the unmatched research opportunities. But what sealed the deal for me was the culture. I feel supported, challenged, and inspired by the people I get to work with every day.
What do you like best about being a resident at WashU?
My co-residents are kind, supportive, enthusiastic, and FUN! I already love my class, especially since I think we were the good luck charm for the Blues winning the Stanley Cup during our intern orientation week.

What do you do outside of work?
When I’m not at work, you can find me decompressing at hot yoga or exploring the food & drink scene in St. Louis. As someone without any prior connection to the city, I’ve been so impressed and excited by St. Louis. I’m glad I get to spend 4 years here surrounded by the amazing people in this program.
Fun fact: I’ve summited Mount Kilimanjaro!
