Gyn Onc Teal on Wheels is a hospital affiliate team comprised of doctors, nurses, gynecologic cancer survivors, gynecologic cancer researchers, caregivers, and friends and family who have all been touched in some way by gynecologic cancer. We come together each year to ride in honor of those who might not be able to ride and to raise awareness of uterine, ovarian, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. We believe in a world without cancer! Just in time for Pedal the Cause each year, September has been established as Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM), to reach more and more people each year.
The team raised over $27,000!
Pedal the Cause provides critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through our annual cycling challenge. Since 2010, over $45 million has been raised – with 100% of those funds directly supporting 223 cancer research projects.”
