Originally launched in January 2021, the goal of our PDS is to build greater discussion and collaboration amongst our faculty on topics around our department and medical campus. Inspired by our Chair’s CARE (Clinical Service, Administrative support/oversight, Research, Education) model, this series will carry these themes throughout the academic year.
Schedule: Every Wednesday 9-10 a.m., except on weeks with faculty meetings and the fifth Wednesday of the month (following Grand Rounds time from 8-9 a.m.)
The descriptors below give a sense of the scope of discussion.
Patient Safety/Quality Improvement Focus (following our monthly M&M Grand Rounds) Review of Patient Safety data reports: Build awareness of hospital wide shared safety events; Review relevant journal club articles
Understand the resources and staff within our department and across our campus; Learn about other research endeavors; Share new studies and recruitment efforts; Highlight significant research articles to review
