Why did you choose WashU for your residency?
“The people at WashU genuinely care about seeing you reach and exceed your goals and will provide you with the tools and advice to do so. St. Louis is such a special community to have the privilege to serve, and I wanted to continue to be involved with social justice and advocacy work here!”

What are you looking forward to the most by being a resident here at WashU?
“I’m excited to work with the amazing people here!”

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?
“I hope that I can become an excellent clinician who pays special attention to equitable, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive care. I would love to sharpen my clinical education skills and pass on knowledge and advice to promote the practice of trauma-informed care among future physicians. I hope that I can continue to conduct qualitative research on barriers to care and improving health equity. I am excited to continue my advocacy and education work with gender-based violence in St. Louis.”

What are your research interests?

“Qualitative methods, health equity, barriers to care, social determinants of health, gender-based violence”

“I love to cook for others, try new restaurants, go on walks in forest park, paint pottery, read, learn to knit and cross-stitch, and care for plants.”

“I have a pretty high spice tolerance.”

“Undecided!”

What advice would you give medical students applying for a residency in OBGYN?

“Focus on what you are passionate about in medical school, and it will come through when you apply for residency!”
