Rotation Schedule
The ob/gyn residency curriculum consists of nine rotations each year, each rotation lasting 5 – 6 weeks. Three weeks of vacation are included each year.
Year 1
- Obstetrics (three rotations)
- Gynecologic oncology
- Ultrasound
- Surgical intensive care unit (SICU)
- Mouse (GYN Nights)
- Benign gynecology
- Ambulatory
Year 2
Starting with PGY-2, each resident spends one half day in Continuity Clinic, a resident-run clinic overseen by the faculty. Each resident has her own patients, as well as ‘practice groups’ to simulate a physician’s practice.

- Gynecologic ER night
- Urogynecology
- Elective

Year 4
- Chief of obstetrics (two rotations)
- Chief of the benign gynecology service
- Chief of the antepartum service
- Chief of the gynecologic oncology service
- Family Planning/Float
- Gynecology (Missouri Baptist Medical Center)
- Consult

Application process
Medical school graduates can enter the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program immediately after graduation, applying through ERAS or ECFMG.
