Improving the health of the US population and reducing disparities in health are national priorities. Reaching these goals will require medical training, research, and practice that centers on equity. In this panel, we bring together Washington University physicians to discuss equity in medicine and how this impacts their approach to mentorship/teaching, research, and practice. Panelists will also share how their own identities have shaped their trajectories as physicians, as well as their thoughts on how to achieve equity in medicine.
Panelists include Cynthia Rogers, J. Gmerice Hammond, and Jennifer Strahle.
This event is co-sponsored by the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity and the Umrath and Zetcher and Liggett-Koenig residential colleges.
