Residency

Why did you choose WashU for your residency?

WashU has everything I was looking for in a residency – strong surgical training with a wide variety of pathology, exposure to all the subspecialties, and a commitment to advocacy – all in a supportive and collaborative environment. After meeting faculty and residents on my interview day and seeing how much they truly cared for one another, it became abundantly clear to me that residency at WashU would allow me to reach my full potential as an OB/GYN.

What are you looking forward to the most by being a resident here at WashU?
I’m excited to get to know my co-residents, faculty, and the rest of the team, and to explore St. Louis!

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?
In addition to becoming the best OB/GYN I can be, I hope to expand upon my advocacy experience and continue working within the community to improve better access to reproductive healthcare.

What are your research interests?

Anything involving infertility!

Personal

Hometown: Glenview, IL

What do you do outside of work?   I love to hike, travel, lift weights, try to convince my significant other that we should get a dog, and cook even though I definitely have no idea what I’m doing!

What’s something that most people don’t know about you? I used to play the upright bass in elementary school, not because I was good at it but because I was the only person tall enough to hold up the instrument.

We know it’s early, but do you have any fellowship plans for after residency? I’m very interested in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, but also considering Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

What advice would you give medical students applying for a residency in OBGYN?

Be yourself! The best residency for you is the one that will allow you to be your authentic self and thrive while doing so.
