Social service professionals often speak of identity and marginalization in terms of intersectionality, the idea that a person’s experience will be influenced by the total of all the identities they hold. This webinar will begin with a scene setting lecture by Washington University Occupational Therapy Instructor Dr. Stacy West-Bruce, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Washington University TRIO Director Dr. Kimberly Morton. Together we will explore the context of being Black and living with disabilities in St. Louis. This Inclusive Perspectives event, which shares lived experience, practitioner expertise, and research findings regarding the inclusion of people with disabilities, is co-sponsored by the TRIO program and is part of our recognition of Black History Month.
