Veronica Davé completed her B.S. and M.S. in Molecular Environmental Biology and Environmental Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, where she researched biomarkers of environmental chemical exposure and obesity among Mexican-American mothers and children. During her Ph.D. at the University of Washington, she studied the role of T cells in protecting the female genital tract against herpes simplex virus infection. She completed her postdoctoral studies in the field of neuroimmunology at Washington University in St. Louis, where she researched the interaction between neurons, glia, and immune cells during viral infections of the brain. In her role as research project manager for the Route 66 Endometrial Cancer SPORE, Dr. Davé facilitates effective communication and collaboration between SPORE projects and cores to help ensure project aims are achieved.
