Residency

Why did you choose WashU for your residency?

I chose WashU because of the opportunity to care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs while developing into a skilled physician. After living in St. Louis the past 9 years, I knew I was not ready to leave the patients here. The diverse St. Louis patient population I have gotten to care for offers broad clinical exposure and the chance to care for patients from a wide range of socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic backgrounds. Most importantly, the people stood out to me as exceptionally supportive and deeply invested in both patient care and resident growth.

Why OBGYN?
OB/GYN has it all! There is unique blend of advocacy, continuity, and hands-on medicine, as well as the chance to improve health outcomes for women throughout every stage of life.

What are you looking forward to the most about being a resident here at WashU?
I am most looking forward to learning from the exceptional faculty, residents, and patients at WashU and growing into a confident, compassionate OB/GYN. I am excited to become part of the strong sense of community at WashU and to build lasting relationships with colleagues who are supportive, collaborative, and committed to helping one another succeed.

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?
My goal is to become a physician who can effectively care for both routine and high-acuity patients while serving as a trusted advocate for women’s health. I also hope to grow as a teacher, mentor, and teammate, contributing to the supportive learning environment that makes residency such a formative experience.

What are your research interests?
Medical education, LGBTQ advocacy, maternal mental health
