Our education team met with Doorways, a valued non-profit community partner that hosts our clerkship students for a key component of their OB-GYN rotation. Doorways is the only agency in our region dedicated to providing housing and comprehensive supportive services for individuals living with HIV, making this partnership an especially meaningful learning opportunity for our students.
During the visit, medical students learned more about Doorways’ mission and the vital role they play in serving our community. In the spirit of the season, students also created holiday cards for Doorways program participants, offering a small but heartfelt gesture of appreciation and connection. The group was excited to give back and spread holiday cheer to the community they serve.
Our clerkship team is grateful for this partnership and for the students’ positive attitudes, thoughtful reflection, and engagement in community-based learning opportunities.
