The collaborative Women & Infants (W&I) Safety and Quality Team was honored with a QUEST Award, presented by Dr. Lynch at the recent BJH Employee Recognition Ceremony.

This recognition highlights the team’s commitment to improving patient safety and outcomes through meaningful, data-driven quality improvement efforts.
The QUEST Award was presented to the BJH/WU Severe Hypertension in Pregnancy Team in recognition of their successful implementation of a care bundle and standardized treatment algorithm designed to ensure timely management of severe hypertension in pregnancy. Following the bundle’s initiation in 2024, compliance with treatment within 60 minutes improved from 82% to 97% and has been sustained at an impressive 98% throughout 2025.
This sustained performance reflects strong interdisciplinary collaboration and a shared commitment to evidence-based care. Most importantly, these efforts have been crucial in improving the timely treatment of one of the most common and potentially serious complications of pregnancy, directly supporting safer outcomes for our patients and families.
