The Education Team is excited to announce that Dr. Jennifer Mitchell will be assuming the role of Associate Clerkship Director beginning January 2024. Dr. Mitchell will be leading the OBGYN Clerkship along with (incoming) Clerkship Director Dr. Katherine Massa.
Dr. Mitchell joined the Division of Academic Specialists of Obstetrics & Gynecology in August of 2022 after completing her residency at University of Missouri – Columbia. During her residency she held leadership roles on the Didactics Committee (as member and then chair in 2020), Resident Wellness Committee and served as an Administrative Chief Resident. Her education experience in residency included multiple presentations/lectures, attendance at the CREOG Preparing to be Teachers and Leaders course, as well as four years of curriculum development for the Pre-Operative Conference.
In addition to her clinical contributions since she joined WashU, Dr. Mitchell took on the role of Course Director for our Ambulatory Obstetrics and Gynecology Phase 3 Medical Student Elective in 2022. In addition to her role as Course Director, she has provided multilectures and workshops to our students and residents, with a specific workshop on Electronic Fetal Monitoring and lecture on Abnormal Uterine Bleeding provided to our clerkship students.
In her time with us, Dr. Mitchell has shown dedication to her role as clinician and educator. We are confident that together Dr. Massa and Dr. Mitchell will continue to foster an outstanding educational environment for our clerkship students.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Mitchell as Associate Clerkship Director.
