The DEIA committee is excited to host a book club to discuss the book “Legacy” by Dr. Uché Blackstock.

We will meet on Wednesday, May 21, from 6-8 pm on the 10th floor of COH.

In “Legacy,” Dr. Uché Blackstock examines the legacy of racism in medicine through her personal experiences as a Black physician and her family history. The book explores systemic inequities in healthcare, from historical practices to her own encounters as a medical student and doctor. It’s a memoir, a call to action, and a searing indictment of the healthcare system.
