The film explores the careers of female surgeons who benefited from Title IX, a law that opened doors for women in the 1970s. The film highlights the ongoing gender-based discrimination and stereotypes that women still face in a male-dominated field, showing how the lack of cultural change in medicine and surgery has affected women’s careers, the healthcare system, and patient care.
