Dr. Nardhy Gomez-Lopez (she/her) is a Professor in ObGyn, CRepHS, and Pathology and Immunology. She will officially be on the team in October!
I’m deeply passionate about research that directly benefits our community. Our team is dedicated to unraveling the complexities of pregnancy complications with the aim of discovering effective prevention strategies. To achieve this goal, we employ a multidisciplinary approach, working in close collaboration with physician-scientists and basic scientists, with a particular emphasis on immunobiology.

I enjoy exercising and spending time with Mylo, my pug.
What is the best advice you ever received and who was it from?
I’ve been fortunate to receive plenty of advice throughout my career, but one piece of wisdom that has stayed with me is: “Don’t take it personally.” This valuable insight was shared with me by a senior professor I used to collaborate with. At times, we can expend unnecessary emotional energy by taking work matters personally.

Fishing gear, survival knife, and a firestarter kit.
