Fran Manyx (they/them) is a Clinical Research Study Assistant II for the Division of Clinical Research. They have been with us since last April!
I love the interaction I have with patients as well as knowing I will learn something new everyday from any aspect of my job. I love having an avenue for growth and learning.

What do you do outside of work? family? hobbies?
I am an avid reader! I also spend a lot of my free time doing jigsaw puzzles, going to antique markets, trying new coffee shops with my partner, going to see live music, and I am hoping to learn how to make my own clothes this year!

I taught English in South Korea in 2021!

What is the best advice you’ve received and who was it from?
The best advice I have ever received was from a psychology professor that you need to take care of yourself in order to commit to a career of caring for others. I have always stuck to that and constantly remind myself of those words.
