I love anything that involves making things: sewing, painting, gardening. I’m planning to start quilting this year.
What’s something that most people don’t know about you?
I worked for an airline and traveled the world before finishing college and going to graduate school.
Name some things you’d take to a deserted island.
A set of knives, a large fishing net, and rubber boots.
What is the best advice you’ve received and who was it from?
A mentor in undergrad told me that professionally things should never feel too easy or comfortable. If you are comfortable, then you aren’t pushing yourself and you aren’t growing.
