Residency

Why did you choose WashU for your residency?
I had the opportunity to do an away rotation at WashU during my fourth year of medical school and absolutely fell in love. I was so impressed by the camaraderie and collaboration not only within the OBGYN department, but with other specialities at the hospital as well. In short, WashU has it all – well-rounded clinical experience, excellent support for research, and a cool city to explore in our free time!

What are you looking forward to the most by being a resident here at WashU?
I am looking forward to getting to know my co-residents as well as the WashU faculty and staff and to be fully immersed in the field of OBGYN

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?
To not only become an excellent surgeon and healer, but also learn how to best advocate for my patients and integrate my love of public health into day to day clinical practice

What are your research interests?
Implementation science, health equity, and public health

Potentially maternal fetal medicine or complex family planning but open to anything at this point!

What advice would you give medical students applying for a residency in OBGYN?
The best thing about OBGYN is the advocacy that is inherent to the field, so find something you are passionate about and figure out how you can make a difference!
