Residency

Why did you choose WashU for your residency?
I loved my experiences working with the department during medical school. Despite how busy each service could get, there was a clear investment in teaching and a culture of support that made all the difference as a trainee! On top of that, WashU’s program has a high volume and acuity of patients and provides excellent surgical training, research opportunities, and preparation for after residency.

What are you looking forward to the most by being a resident here at WashU?
Getting to know my co-residents and growing together over the next four years!

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?
Become the best OB/GYN I can for my patients! I am also hoping to get involved in medical student education and advocacy work.

What are your research interests?
Infertility, history of reproductive medicine

What do you do outside of work?
I love exploring new restaurants in St. Louis, going for walks in Forest Park, and spending time with my partner, family, and friends.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?
I’ve been journaling since I was 9 and have a journal from every year since then!

We know it’s early, but do you have any fellowship plans for after residency?
I’m currently interested in REI or PAG.

What advice would you give medical students applying for a residency in OBGYN?
Stay organized, check in with your mentors, and be confident – you’ve made it so far already! Think about what drew you to medicine and OB/GYN, and look for programs that highlight those values.
