Residency

Why did you choose WashU for your residency?

I chose WashU for its incredible support system. I felt welcomed the minute I arrived for my away rotation. I knew that this was the team I wanted to have for the next four years. This is the program that will push me to new limits as a physician while staying grounded as a person. Centrally located in St. Louis was also a bonus with easy access to many restaurants and recreational activities (and plants). I am thrilled to be a part of the Class of 2027!

What are you looking forward to the most by being a resident here at WashU?

I am looking forward to the new relationships that I will build in this community. WashU is the perfect place for me to grow and learn.

What goals do you hope to accomplish during your residency?

My goal for residency is to be a listener, supporter, and advocator for my patients as a physician.

What are your research interests?

I am interested in Gyn Onc research.

Personal

Hometown: Las Vegas, NV
Pronouns: she/her/hers

What do you do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy propagating plants and gardening, making macrame, reading, exploring new restaurants, and cuddling with every dog I possibly can.

What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

St. Louis is the farthest east I’ve ever been in the US.

We know it’s early, but do you have any fellowship plans for after residency?
I am interested in gynecologic oncology at this time, though I plan to explore my options throughout residency.

What advice would you give medical students applying for a residency in OBGYN?

Continue to challenge yourself everyday. Plan ahead. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Do your due diligence to research programs and reflect on your values often to find the right program for you. And don’t procrastinate on that personal statement!
