Fellowship

Why did you choose WashU for fellowship?

“The vastly different landscapes of Missouri and Illinois (with respect to reproductive legislation) offered a unique training environment. Here, I could grow my advocacy skills a place that is similar to my home state and get surgical training that is not available in many places. From my first interview, everyone I talked to was so welcoming, it truly was an easy choice.”

What are you looking forward to the most by being a fellow at WashU?

“Everything! I’m humbled to be at a place with such a stellar reputation, I know there’s so much to learn and I can’t wait.”

What are your career goals?
“I hope to develop my surgical technique and skills while also finding my voice as an advocate.”

What are your research interests?

“I’m interested in assessing the knowledge and attitudes of non-OBGYN providers about family planning topics and how education may affect access to that care in places without an OBGYN provider.”

What advice would you give OBGYN residents applying for your chosen fellowship specialty?

Be yourself! CFP is a specialty of like-minded folks who are here to help you find the program that fits your needs.
