Showcasing Leadership in Family Planning: WashU OBGYN at SFP 2025

WashU Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Complex Family Planning participated in the Society of Family Planning Annual Meeting.

Faculty contributions included a hands-on Deep Nexplanon removal simulation workshop led by Dr. Kathryn Thomas, and a “Stump the Professor”style complex case discussion on placenta accreta spectrum presented by CFP fellow Dr. Christine Jackson.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to connect with colleagues and alumni from across the country. A notable moment was the gathering of four generations of WashU Complex Family Planning fellows: Dr. Jayme Trevino, Dr. Ishana Shetty, Dr. Christine Jackson, and Dr. Rachel Crebessa. We were also pleased to reconnect with WashU Maternal–Fetal Medicine fellowship graduates Dr. Leilah Zahedi Spung, Dr. Molly Houser, and Dr. Bridget Huysman.

The Complex Family Planning division remains committed to advancing clinical excellence, education, and research, and we are proud to contribute to the mission of the Society of Family Planning.
