WashU Medicine Gynecologic Oncology Unite with Community at the SLOCA Living Out Loud Gala

WashU Medicine’s Department of Gynecologic Oncology was proud to come together this year at the St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) Living Out Loud Gala: an inspiring evening where the strength of community was on full display.

SLOCA, the only non-profit in Missouri solely dedicated to ovarian cancer, has been a beacon of hope in the St. Louis area since 2002, founded on a simple but powerful belief: that awareness, connection, and collective action can change lives. That same spirit was felt throughout the room as physicians, survivors, supporters, and community members gathered in shared purpose. [Learn more about SLOCA’s founding mission.]

Our team was honored to be part of this night — because progress in the fight against ovarian cancer is never the work of one person or one team. It is built together. We are grateful to stand alongside SLOCA and the entire St. Louis community in supporting survivors, funding critical research, and keeping that founding vision alive.
