WashU Ob/Gyn > Patient Information > Obstetrics > Classes and Tours
The personalized classes and tours offered by our childbirth educator can help tremendously in preparing for delivery and caring for your newborn.
Classes include labor and birth preparation (including natural labor classes), newborn care, and breastfeeding. We also offer sibling preparation classes to help 3-8 year-olds prepare for the arrival of their new brother or sister.
Classes are available online and in person, typically at the Women and Infants Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in the Central West End.
Your Expectant Mom packet will also include information about the classes available for you and your family.
Schedule a tour
In addition to offering classes to help you and your family prepare for your new baby’s arrival, we invite you and your family to tour the labor and delivery and postpartum areas before the big day arrives. You can talk to your care coordinator about scheduling a tour, or call 314-362-MOMS.
