Dr. Ashley Veade to Serve as Associate Program Director for the Residency Program

July 25, 2023 – During this upcoming academic year, the residency leadership team is growing in accordance with ACGME guidelines given the increased development of our residency program.  After an open call for applications and an interview process, we are excited to announce that Dr. Ashley Veade was selected as our next Associate Residency Program Director!  She will transition to the role that the previous Associate Program Director, Dr. Eric Strand, held over the past year.

Dr. Veade joined our Department after completing her residency at Duke University, but strongly maintains her New Orleans roots!  She has developed many research interests, including opiate use in pregnancy and postpartum, double-balloon management of CSPs, and the effects of female physician infertility on our field.  She is skilled in forcep-assisted deliveries and vaginal breech extractions and is a fantastic clinician and educator.

Congratulations Dr. Veade.
