Ronald C. Strickler, MD, FRCSC, MBA, is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) and retired from clinical practice in 2018 to provide an educational resource to the fellows, residents, and medical students who spend time at Michigan Center for Fertility and Women’s Health (MCFWH). During his 20 years at Washington University in St. Louis, he founded the first IVF program in Missouri, published the first study demonstrating the value of ultrasound-guided embryo transfer, and served as Program Director for the REI fellowship, as well as Virginia S. Lang tenured Professor and Obstetrician/Gynecologist-in-Chief at the Jewish Hospital. During a second 20-year tenure at Henry Ford Health System, he held the titles of Department Chairperson, Residency Program Director, Senior Staff REI, and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Nationally, Dr. Strickler has been an Examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for both the general and REI-subspecialty certifications, a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology residencies and fellowships as well as a member of the Milestones Committee, a member of National Institutes of Health Reproductive Biology Study Section, an NIH grant awardee for 15 years, and a reviewer and editorial board member of several journals. He has authored over 150 scientific articles, textbook chapters, research abstracts, and other medical publications. Most recently, he continues as a medical educator for medical students, residents, and fellows, and served as the interim Executive Director for the Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education.
