Excellence in Research: 40th Annual Rothman Research Day

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 40th Annual Rothman Research Day, a tradition that highlights the dedication, innovation, and scholarly excellence of our residents, fellows, and basic science researchers.

Each year, this event brings our community together to showcase the impactful research being conducted across a wide range of disciplines. We are incredibly proud of all the presenters who shared their hard work and discoveries, and we look forward to seeing how their contributions continue to shape the future of the field.

We were honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. John B. Gebhart, Professor and Consultant of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Surgery in the Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Surgery at Mayo Clinic, who delivered a presentation on “Vaginal Hysterectomy Challenges.”

Dr. Gebhart defines what it means to be a surgeon’s surgeon – leading with mastery, mentoring with intention, and championing the vaginal approach every opportunity he has. Our specialty and the women we care for has benefitted from his legacy and contributions to our field.
